Give this classic cocktail a wonderful twist with the added rich sweetness of Demerara for a perfectly balanced drink.

INGREDIENTS

Cocktail

  • 500ml fresh chilled tomato juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • a good splash of Tabasco sauce
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • a good grind of black pepper
  • 100ml vodka
  • Demerara Sugar 2 tbsp

to serve

  • a couple of handfuls of ice
  • 2 celery sticks
  • lemon wedges

Demerara Bloody Mary

HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE

  1. Place all the ingredients in a jug and stir well until the Demerara sugar has dissolved.
  2. Check the seasoning, adding salt and pepper to taste and pour over the ice.
  3. Garnish with the celery sticks, lemon wedges and an extra grind of black pepper.
  4. Enjoy straight away!
